The company is responsible for airport infrastructure and services, including air traffic management ,fire services and security .The company is seeking to appoint experienced and qualified professionals to the following vacant management positions in Fiji
General Manager Finance
Reporting to the CEO you will be accountable for the overall management of the finance function and providing high level strategic financial advise to the Board., CEO and Executive management team. You will also oversee the development and management of the growing team of finance professionals. Key responsibilities will also include developing and implementing financial management strategies and developing budgeting and forecasting models.
Qualification and experience
A Bachelor’s degree in finance /commerce
A member of a recognized accounting body (CPA< CIMA< ICA)
A minimum of 8 years proven track record in a senior finance role
Experience in operational and management accounting with project management skills
Exposure in a fully automated accounting system with sound IT knowledge
Well versed with computer systems for accounting and management reporting.
General Manager Engineering & Infrastructure
Responsible for all airport and air traffic management (ATM) infrastructure and engineering technical services including telecommunications ,mechanical and electrical ,aerodromes, construction, operation and maintenance of all buildings and structures. Key responsibilities will include ensuring that present and future airports and ATM infrastructure capacity and standards are planned, implemented and maintained in a timely and cost effective manner.
Qualification and experience
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably civil engineering)
A minimum of 8 years strategic management experience in similar position and organization size
Proven technical experience in project management is essential and knowledge of the telecommunication industry is desirable.
General Manager Airport
The role is responsible for ensuring that AFL’s short , medium and long term business plans and strategies are implemented as well as identifying and assessing new business opportunities/ for operations and business service efficiency and maintaining and developing working relationships with key customers and external stakeholders.
Qualification and experience
A Post graduate degree in management, business administration or engineering
A minimum of 8 years management experience in a similar position
Proven “hands on” management style
General Manager Commercial
The role is accountable for the overall management and operations of commercial division at AFL and is responsible for current business undertakings as well as the development of new business opportunities. Key responsibilities will also include managing and monitoring commercial assets and established performance objectives for the commercial functions of AFL.
Qualification and experience
A Bachelor’s degree in business administration ,marketing or commerce
A minimum of 8 years management experience in a similar position.
Proven “hands on” managerial style
Knowledge and experience in property management will be a significant advantage.
Manager ICT
The role is responsible for developing and implementing AFL’s corporate ICT strategies. You will play a pivotal role in identifying recommending , developing, implementing and supporting cost effective ICT solutions for all aspects of AFL’s business. Key responsibilities will also include managing the IT division and formulating corporate ICT strategies and long term ICT planning.
Qualification and experience
A Bachelor’s degree in engineering/software
Microsoft and CISCO certification would be a distinct advantage
A minimum of 5 years managerial experience in a similar position and organization size
Proven track record in a competitive IT environment.
