LABORATORY TEAM LEADER IN MALAYSIA

Becker Industrial Coatings (M) Sdn Bhd is paint company with strong presence in the major markets in Eruope, The US and Asia. As part of our commitment to continue our strong market presence in this part of the world, we are currently embarking on an expansion programme to set up a new laboratory research centre based in Kuala lumpur to carry out similar function to its sister division, the long Term Development Laboratory which has been successfully operated in liverpool for the past 18 Years. this new laboratory will be fitted with both paint-making equipment and analytical equipment to specialize in the development of the state of art coll coatings for the Asian market.
We have a vacancy for a team leader to head this new research division. We are looking for a chemist or material scientist,preferably with some experience in paint formulation development or polymer analysis,through not necessary. the team leader will engage in activities involving paint formulation and analysis of paint defects applying practivelly what has been learned theoretically. he is also expected to head presentations of complex technical information to customers at both private meetings and public confrences.
The successful candidate will undergo six (6) months of training in the UK laboratory. Following which he will head the division in Malaysia. The preferred candidate will need to possess a good command of the English langugae and being conversant in Mandarin would be an added advantage.
