We are currently representing a world-leading producer in professional, consumer and health products to seek a Safety Category Manager, this position supports the Asia Pacific region and is based in Singapore.
Safety Category Manager
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the Safety portfolio, be a steward and advocate for the brands
- Foster and develop close relationships with Country General Managers and Marketing Teams and work towards a common goal of increasing sales in the safety category throughout Asia Pacific
- Recommend, develop and market new products
- Provide market-focused input on product requirements, and market new products with excellence to meet and exceed volume, profit and cost saving targets
- Ensure efficient product range development and management and be responsible for SKU management, product and packaging specifications, branding compliance & execution, product launches and A&P co-ordination
- Assess opportunities for large scale volume gains from a product availability perspective
- Ensure accurate sales forecast and communication of related production capability plans
- Prepare marketing programs and associated tools for the sales team, distributors and end-users
- Achieve large-scale sales growth and develop assigned categories
- Lead and direct general and marketing management of product lines, including profitability analysis and general price changes
- Liaise closely with Regional Segment Marketing Managers to ensure the correct product portfolio is delivered and commercialized to support the strategic direction of the Safety business in target segments.
Job Requirements:
- A business degree with at least 8 years of working experience and a proven track record in demonstrating success in the safety sector, preferably with experience gained within B2B Marketing
- Previous experience in product development and marketing new products
- Proven track record in meeting and exceeding volume, profit and cost savings targets
- Strong strategic planning, communication, analytical and decision making skills
- Extensive experience in analysis, marketing success, implementation and execution of marketing programs, projects and business plans
- Excellent knowledge of marketing principles and techniques with the ability to manage the complexities of geographical and cultural challenges is essential
- Hands-on and strategic with the ability to build rapport and network with all levels
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Fluent in English and Mandarin.
